Timeline & Deadlines

The Foundation makes awards twice a year, once during our Spring Award Round and once during our Fall Award Round. The following timeline and deadlines have remained in place since 2013:

Requests received between May 11th (12:00am EST) and November 10th (11:59pm EST) are considered for funding during our Spring Award Round. All applicants who submit a request during this timeframe can expect to have received a status update, by email, by the end of April. Those who are selected for further consideration can expect to receive a final decision, by mail, by the end of May.

Requests received between November 11th (12:00am EST) and May 10th (11:59pm EST) are considered for funding during the Fall Award Round. All applicants who submit a request during this timeframe can expect to receive a status update, by email, by the end of October. Those who have been selected for further consideration can expect to receive a final decision, by mail, by the end of November.

In those instances when the deadline date falls on a weekend or federal holiday (Memorial Day or Veterans Day), the deadline shall move to the next business day.  (ex. If November 10th is a Saturday and Monday, November 12th is Veterans Day, the deadline that year would be Tuesday, November 13th)

Applicants may not submit requests for consecutive grant rounds (Spring/Fall or Fall/Spring). Applicants may submit requests for the same grant round in a different year (Fall 2020, Fall 2021). Applicants may not submit multiple requests during one grant round.

Because the Foundation accepts requests over a six-month period for each Award Round, the Foundation will not make any exceptions for late requests- in fairness to applicants that have submitted well-ahead of the deadline date. No weight is given based on when an application is submitted. We recommend applicants submit their application at least one week before the deadline date to account for any potential, though unlikely, errors.

Applicants can check for status updates through the Application Portal. We ask that organizations do not contact the Foundation to request status updates unless they have not received an update within the timeframes cited above.
